Canon Powershot SX720HS How to (hopefully) transfer pics from Camera to computer by Wi Fi After a day of time on computer and walking to de-stress I succeeded in attaching camera to computer and transfer photos. Here are some tips.
1. You must Register your Camera. Mine was the Powershot SX720HS. (This one is not on the drop down to select so I selected the SX710, and it worked) Perhaps Canon will sort this out.
2. Connect camera to computer Wi Fi. The password is the Wireless Password on you Modem. For some reason at the end it says to connect to OFFICE. Go ahead.
3. Add your new device (camera) to the computer. Go to Control Panel and select “Hardware and Sound” Add device.
4. You need to download the Canon “Programs”. Use this link that Canon support sent me as I could not find it anywhere on the set up pages. I use windows 8:1 this is refers to 7.1 but it does work. http://www.canon.co.uk/support/consumer_products/products/cameras/digital_compact/powershot_sx_serie...)
Once downloaded, find it in downloads and click again to run it to install. 5. Another useful link is this to download the user manual. http://gdlp01.c-wss.com/gds/9/0300023089/01/PowerShot_SX720HS_Camera_User_Guide_EN.pdf
I think this is pretty much in the correct order to follow. Good Luck
