Hi there. So I got my camera end of October for my birthday. Used alot for about a week during December on a holiday. All fine no problems. I moved to Australia in January and used the camera at the start a couple time. I go to use it yesterday for the first time in about 3 weeks and I have a problem.
When I press the on/off button there is no response (Just a little green light flashes once every time I press on) when normally the lense came out and opened allowing me to take pictures. When I press the playback button it turns on and I can still view images etc and see that my battery is full. Soon as I press on again it goes off.
I've never dropped it and it's always in its case. I really haven't used enough for it to be damaged in my opinion so I'm thinking there is a fault somewhere or I have it stuck on a wrong setting maybe. If i can't get this fixed myself I will have to post to the UK where I bought it (Not ideal as I'm in a small outback town in Australia, nearest camera fixing shop is about 2000km away). Thanks for any help guys. Video link below shows the problem, hopefully it works
