Do I need to delete an older version of Digital Camera Solution Disk before installing a new one?

I recently purchased an SX280.  I have an earlier version of the support software on my computer.  Will the new over-write the old or should I delete the old version first?

Delete the first version first..its safer that way and less risk of a corrupted installation. I think it will install either way though but better safe than sorry.
