I am having a lot of trouble connecting my Canon Powershot S110 to my HP Envy 7640 wireless printer.
I'm using the printer's Wi-Fi Direct feature.
I go into the camera's wireless menu, and select the printer image
In the 'Select a Device' menu, I choose 'Add a Device'.
In the 'Set Access Point menu, I choose 'Find Access Point'
The camera searches for access points and the next menu, 'Access Point Connect', I choose 'Direct-3F-HP ENVY 7640 series'
The next screen prompts me to enter the printer's encryption key, which I enter.
On the following 'Network Settings' menu, I select 'Auto'.
Next screen reads 'Connecting Direct 3F-HP ENVY 7640'
Printer screen reads, 'Successfully connected to mobile device'
But...the camera continues to 'Search for Device'. After a minute or two of 'Searching...', I get the 'Communication Error' message, 'Device Not Found'
I've tried to set it up with the camera as the wireless access point and that doesn't work either. I've tried to connect the two through the router as well (WD My Net N900), still no results.
Any suggestions?
