Can’t get My Canon Powershot SX620 HS to Connect to My Field Monitor

I purchased a Neewer F-100 field monitor for my Canon SX620-HS. But, I can only seem to view images already on my camera and not see the live view from my LCD while recording. This model has an HDMI output that I’ve connected to the monitor. Am I missing something?

The manual only talks about playing back images and videos, not looking at the live view, so what you want may not be possible.
