My camera outer lens has a dent in it. It’s not the lens that retracts to allow the lens to come out, it’s the thick outermost metal part. It has a dent and won’t allow the lens to extend. What should I do? It’s a Canon SX740 hs

Greetings ,
I would suggest you log into your MyCanon account and register the camera.
Once done you can initiate an inspection/repair request. You will also be given an estimate. At that point you can decide what you want to do.
