My Canon PowerShot SX430 IS, purchased new in 2019, has developed a problem with zooming. When zooming in past a certain point, it takes a bright white photo. It looks like I took a photo of a very bright light bulb. This happens at a little less than the half way point of the 45x zoom. The shutter button doesn't click when taking photos when zoomed, it's as if the camera is struggling to focus. Sometimes the photos are just plain white, other times you can barely make out part of the photo, such as this photo I tried to take of some cows.
This doesn't affect the video function. I can still capture video across the full range of the zoom. And aside from using the zoom there are no other issues with taking photos.
