My printer's "my printer" isn't giving the correct status of the ink cartridges.  Anyone else have that happen?

MY MB 2320 has a question mark above black ink cartridge . Printer also indicates ink is empty . printed pages print with little or no ink. printer does not know black ink cartridge is empty and does not warn me or let change ink cartridge , what can i do to fix this problem??????
