maxify mb2300 printer

MAXIFY MB 2300 printer has run out of black ink.  However, shows black ink in cartridge.  Won't allow change of cartridge.  Help please

Hi Masons_Granny,

 

I understand that the black ink cartridge is empty, but not allowing you to replace it. When the unit detects ink in the cartridge it will not move the cartridge to the replacement location until the unit displays a circile with an x over the cartridge. However, to troubleshoot, if the cartridge is not pushing ink through correctly or if the cartridge is empy, please perform two cleanings, followed by printing the nozzle check pattern. 

 

The following steps will assist you:

 

  1. Press the HOME icon. (If you are not on the Home screen.)
  2. Press SETUP.
  3. Press MAINTENANCE.
  4. Press CLEANING OK.
  5. The message, “Do you want to start cleaning?” will appear on the screen, press YES.
  6. The cleaning process will begin. This process may take approximately 1-2 minutes. Do not start another process at this time.
  7. The message, “Do you want to print the nozzle check pattern?” will appear on the screen, press the DOWN arrow 1 time to NO, press OK.
  8. Perform steps 4-6 again.
  9. The message, “Do you want to print the nozzle check pattern?” will appear on the screen, press the DOWN arrow 1 time to YES, press OK
