We had to switch from our MF733Cdw (which was a wonderful machine for 8 years until it quit on us recently) to a new MF753Cdw. The printing has been pretty awful and not at all the same quality as it was before. We've gone through a process of elimination with the settings but nothing seems to change – assuming it's a specific combo that we haven't quite nailed yet and would love to speed up the process with some help.
We get incredibly fast prints but aliasing on the vectors and fonts is jagged and the detail is gone (see example with the difference in the lavender bundles). It's almost as if it's applying too much ink. It's weird because the settings on both printers are the same.
We're most likely doing something wrong so... help 🙂

Sorry, but I don't see the problem. In fact the newer one looks better.

Appreciate the reply but I'm confused. HOW do you think the newer one looks better? Bolder and darker isn't better. There's too much ink being applied to the paper and none of our adjustments are having any effect.

We installed a new MF700 series printer and the colors were not quite vivid. We had to reinitialize the printer and re-calibrate the toners. After that it printed as anticipated. Maybe it will help you.

Thanks so much – we'll give it a try!

If you are on a Mac, the AirPrint driver is causing this loss of resolution (jagged lines and text). Once I used the IP address of the printer to add a new printer, I got the expected high resolution print. This method uses a different driver.
