I have a N1244 Canon Printer/Copier/Scanner
I want to add the function to scan to email I have got on to our Remote UI, but can not find where to add my email to scan to. I would like to add this feature without getting a teck as we are a nonprofit and that money could go to something else!
Thank you!

Thanks for joining the conversation, superiornecc!
Would you mind double-checking the make and model of your printer? To date, Canon USA hasn't released a printer with that model number. That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!
If this is a time-sensitive matter, click HERE search our knowledge base or find additional support options HERE.
Thanks and have a great day!

Thanks so much for checking this! We just need to go one step further and nail down which of those two model numbers appears on the printer itself. You'll find it on the front of the unit at the lower right next to the word "imageCLASS."
We look forward to your reply!

That's actually MF746Cdw. The font we chose for that makes the 6 look like a lowercase B. Thanks again for checking!

Hello,
When setting up the scanner for use with your personal email, the scanner will need specific information to connect. That would include the port it communicates through, the type of security it uses, and the address of their SMTP server. If your email account needs and app password as well, you would need to enable that setting and include the password. If you were using the printer with Gmail, the settings would be as follows.
Port: 587
SSL security: TLS
SMTP server: SMTP.gmail.com
You would also need to enable the option to use an app password and enter the password created by your Gmail account. You can find this information by checking the resources provided by your email provider, they will usually have articles containing that information.
Once you have gathered that information, you can log into the printer's remote UI to enter that information using the steps in the link HERE.
