Hello!
Model: Color imageClass MF656Cdw
Connection: Network
Is it possible to configure Cloud Apps on the copier to go to a specific OneDrive account? It appears to default to the admin account used to connect it to M365.
I was able to successfully connect the Cloud Apps to Microsoft 365. It requires a global administrator on the Microsoft 365 side to do this. However, when I send the scan through to OneDrive, it delivers the scan to the OneDrive of the global admin account used to connect the M365 enterprise application. The copier does not give any options to select a specific account.
Here is the setting location - Web UI under Application Library > "Cloud Apps"
Here is what the enterprise application the copier creates in M365 Entra looks like.

Model and connection type are at the top of the post. Windows is not involved this is communication directly between the copier and Microsoft 365. There are no errors, the functionality is working, just not as expected.

ans2024,
I found a helpful KB article, but the link to the Applications Library manual didn't work for me. I would think you would be able to specify a user account instead of Global Admin.
Application Library Instruction Manual (canon.com)
I'll reach out to the mods and ask if the web team can investigate.
Manual URL:

[We fixed the link!]
And the result:

Thanks Danny and Stephen!!! You guys are awesome. 👍
@ans2024,
Also note you can scan to a local folder that is sync'ed to OneDrive. I haven't tried scanning directly to the cloud myself.

I've followed those directions to connect the Cloud App to Microsoft 365 (onedrive) but there is no option to select which account it delivers the scans to...during the setup it simply asks for various permissions to the M365 tenant, then closes. I guess no one here so far has used this in a business setting, only for their personal OneDrive account.

Yeah, talk about missing the forest for the trees. I'm glad users like Stephen and shadowsports are here responding to questions, but does Canon realize that this ridiculous inability to answer straightforward scan-to-cloud services questions—in 2024!—are really hurting their sales?? I am a Canon owner, I like my imageCLASS, I want to recommend their products to others… but I cannot, because I cannot figure out if scan to cloud works, because Canon itself seems not to care enough to make sure it works. This mystifies me… we got through COVID, remote work, and yet they STILL don't grasp the importance of being able to scan to cloud. And no, I do NOT want to scan to PC and simply dump the PDF into a magic folder that Microsoft's software will do the heavy-lifting to sync to OneDrive! That requires a PC, requires it to be on, requires it to be signed into MY account. In small business settings that is NOT a given! I want scan to cloud services, configurable by the admin. Brother has it. And currently they're killing you with my clients, Canon, because I can't recommend your products. Your loss.
