Hi, just got the MF656Cdw printer. The color mismatch setting says "it cannot perform operation". What to do? thank you.

Since you just got the printer, I assume you're using the Canon OEM starter cartridges?

Yes. During installation, the process of color mismatch says "cannot perform operation" and so the printing result was uneven toned. Some letters are dark..the others are so light. Colored printing is so light...

Greetings ,
Color calibration occurs during the initial set up process. You are prompted to do this when the printer is turned on the first time. This involves printing a document, placing it on the platen and allowing it to be scanned.
(Although optional) Did you perform this step the first time powered on the device? I don't want to confuse color calibration with mis-match.
Light or faint colors might be gradation or density related. Its important you understand the differences and are trying to adjust or correct the issue you are seeing.
See this. Note the printout (placement) black stripe orientation to back of machine.
See here for adjusting Image Quality:
If you are not able to run one of the maintenance operations, trying shutting off the printer and reseating the toners on the toner drawer/carrier.
Please read about each adjustment and become familiar with the different functions before making changes.
