I have the mf642cdw laser printer/scanner and I am having issues scanning to my computer.
This did work at one time, but recently has stopped working.
I have uninstalled the printer and scanner drivers from the computer and re-installed them. When using the scan utility on the PC i get an error that says "Cannot Communicate with the Scanner".
When trying to use Scan to PC from the printer itself, I can select the PC and hit "Start", but nothing happens and it eventually times out and just says "an error occurred".
Both the printer and the PC are on the same network and I can scan to a USB drive with no issues.
Any help with this would be appreciated.
Thank You,
Joe

Sometimes, security software can get in the way and block your scanner’s communication with your computer. If you suspect this might be the case, try temporarily turning off your firewall or antivirus (or adding an exception for the scanner program) to see if that clears things up.
