I use VueScan software. Until recently, it worked perfectly with the document feeder on a MF462dw device.
A few days ago, the MF462dw received a firmware update. Now scans that use the document feeder are unusable because the image is skewed left. Using the flatbed option works as expected.
Can someone help me understand what the problem is and how to fix it?
VueScan creator Ed Hamrick says: It’s using the Canon WIA scanner driver instead of VueScan talking to it with mDNS. The Canon driver doesn’t properly do centering of the document feeder. Could you check the scanner settings on the front panel of the scanner or in the web setup page of the scanner to see if there's an option for enabling 'mDNS' (it might be called 'Bonjour')?
When I checked, I found mDNS is enabled.
Below is an example of the problem.
