imageCLASS MF267dw II not detected during install

I have a MF267DW11 I'm trying to help someone install, but it isn't detected during the driver installation.  I can manually get the printer working after cancelling out, but can't get the scanner to be detected.  I've tried installing on both this person's laptop (Windows 10, 64 bit) and my laptop (Windows 11, 64 bit) and the same thing happens on both.  I've also tried a 2nd USB cable with the same result.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times on both laptop and can't get it to work.  As far as I can tell, I'm following all the appropriate steps listed in the guide.  Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

If you are running into issues with the USB installation for the scanner, you can try uninstalling any connections and then reinstalling the driver. 

You can press the Windows key and the letter R key at the same time on your keyboard. In the run box that appears, you can type in devmgmt.msc and click OK. In the window that comes up, you can scroll through the list and click the option for imaging devices. You can right click and uninstall any connections that appear for the MF267. Once the connections have been uninstalled, you can disconnect the USB cable. 

Once the cable has been disconnected, you can download the latest version of the RECOMMENDED drivers from our site. You can leave the USB cable disconnected and wait for the setup to prompt you to reconnect the cable.
