I just purchased an MF264dwII. There is a smudge mark on all copies and scans. Even when printing with nothing in the feeder or glass as well as scanning with nothing in the feeder or glass. I have tried shaking the cartridge although it doesn't make sense because it cannot be the cartridge when printing or scanning without a document. Thank you in advance for any assistance. Hopefully, it's not the drum. The machine is a day old.

If you are getting smudges in the print, you can try cleaning the the fixing assembly to see if it removes the smudges. You can also try reseating the toner and drum cartridges to see if the smudges clear. If you continue to have issues, I would suggest contacting support over the phone at 1-800-652-2666.
