Can anyone help me with the issue I'm having with my printer?
I had to recently redownload the drivers for my printer. When I did, it worked fine until I had to replace the drum. After I replaced the drum, my printer is no longer being recognized on my laptop when I plug it in using USB cable. It shows it to be in error state and I've tried everything to fix this with no luck.

By any chance did you try redownloading the driver's a 2nd time? Though my printer is a different Canon, I just went thru that. First an excess top margin issue. Then the next day, PC would tell me "Printer is offline." So I set it up yet again and it worked.
Also, if there's more than one driver for your printer on the Canon site, be sure to use the newest one.

Did you miss connecting an electrical plug on the drum?
