imageCLASS D570 - prints but doesn't scan

My mom uses a Canon ImageCLASS D570 printer and scanner. Her scanner stopped working so she asked me to fix it. I can't seem to figure out to fix it. The printer is connected to the computer by WIFI. My mom said last time it happened she unplugged her mac the printer and the extension cable they were on. I decided to do it just to try it. I think the problem isn't from that though. Any ideas on what I should do?

I have the same issue and have been going crazy trying to figure out a work-around.  My issue is my new laptop is running Snapdragon as its processor.  I think AMD would work fine.  Realllllly really is unfortunate that I purchased this laptop that essentially won't run any of the applications I want to use.  If the salesperson would have told me that I would NOT have purchased this laptop.

**bleep** that sucks. I fixed the issue by removing the printer and readding it. Whenever either the printer or scanner stops working I just do the same thing again.
