hi , I'm having a hard time connecting my canon printer to my hp desktop

i need to find the model / model number in order to know which driver i need to download. please help.

i have a hp envy desktop and a canon HQS22065.

Please follow the steps in the link below to download the drivers and software for the imageCLASS D1350:

 

How to Download and Install the Drivers and Software

 

Please note that the file that you download from the Canon website is a .ZIP file. When you select [RUN], it unpacks the setup folder. Please disconnect the printer from the computer and follow the instructions below to install the printer:

1. Open your [Downloads] (or [Documents]) folder.

2. You will see two icons with the name: D1300MFDriversV2095W64usEN. Double-click on the yellow folder icon with this name.

3. Double-click on DRIVERS to open the folder.

4. Double-click on us_eng to open the folder.

5. Double-click on x64 to open the folder.

6. In the folder you will see two listings for Setup. Double-click on the Setup that has the type as [Application].

7. The "MF Drivers Setup Wizard" will open. Proceed through the steps and restart the computer.

8. After restarting the computer, connect the USB cable and allow the installation to complete.

9. Print a document.

We don't currently support any printers with the model number you provided.  You'll find the printer's model name somewhere on the top or front of your printer, usually consisting of letters (such as MX, MP, MF, MB, or IP, for example) followed by up to 4 numbers.  Please let us know that and we can more readily help you.

Good Morning thank you for getting back to me.

i dont know where to find the model number so i looked in the back of the printer and saw the number i provided.

on the front of the printer is this only - IMAGE CLASS DL350

Thanks for the information.  While Canon USA has not marketed an imageCLASS printer with the model name "DL350," we have marketed a "D1350."  We can see how the 1 might be mistaken for a lowercase L.  If you take a closer look, could you please confirm whether you've got an imageCLASS D1350?
