Hi!

Welcome to the Canon Forums and thanks for your post!

To have a better understanding of your issue, please let everyone know what operating system (Windows Vista/7/8 or Mac OS 10.X) you are using and if you are connected via USB or WI-FI. That way, the community will be able to assist you with suggestions appropriate for your product.

If this is a time-sensitive matter, our US-based technical support team is standing by, ready to help 24/7 via Email at http://bitly.com/CanonEmail or by phone at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666) weekdays between 10 AM and 10 PM ET (7 AM to 7 PM PT).

Thanks!

I am running Mac OS 10.11.6 and have a wireless setup with my printer.

What software are you printing from.

what software? any software....any time I print anything, there is no option to print page numbers....

This is the completely useless reply that I received from Canon customer support:

The page number settings will be within the program that you are using to print your documents on the Mac operating system.  For example, if you are using Word for Mac, information on how to add a page number will be in the help guide for the Word program.

Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

Thank you for choosing Canon.

I find it surprising that there is not an option to include page numbers on printed documents. There are many things I would like to print other than a Word document.

Well, that's not true. Microsoft Word and Excel allow page numbers. Some photo printing applications allow printing numbers. Printing website pages have page numbers. Exactly what are you printing?

You're right. Mostly I print web pages that I want to refer to, or emails. I use Gmail, and Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Evernote.

I just thought there would be a setting in the Canon printer app that would enable page numbers on all print-outs.

Thanks for any help!
