Less noticeable on a page of text but it's there.
Any information is greatly appreciated in advance.
I did search, as I'm sure I'm not the first with this, but unsure if other posts referred to the condition exactly i.e., vertical and in one location.
Thank you, community!

Hello iheartnuance! Thanks for letting us know what Canon product you've got. The imageCLASS D530 is an older model which we have retired. While that means that Canon USA no longer offers direct support for it, your friends here in the Canon Community are welcome to offer suggestions!
You can also speak with a Canon Upgrade Program specialist to help you score a modern replacement that would meet your current needs at a discount. You can reach them weekdays at 1-866-443-8002.
Hope this helps!

I'm impressed with that reply. It's rare to find such a succinct missive that's both condescending *and* defensive so I doff the proverbial to Canon!
I'm aware the model has been retired.
I'm aware there's no official support.
And, yes, I'm also aware that the Canon community is graciously permitted to offer suggestions as to the cause of my printer's subpar rendering. That's why I signed up here and started the topic.
I'm not trying to point the finger at Canon for the problem, nor make a ridiculous warranty claim. I'd just like to know what's wrong with my printer so I can decide whether I should try to fix it, ancient that it is! Posters here certainly know what the problem is and I was hoping for some direction specifically from the "community", not the "manufacturer"'s autoreplybot! Relax, Canon.
No need for the sales nudge either. I'm aware that I can buy a new printer from you guys or one of your printers from someone else. And I might; just as soon as I know what's going on with my current device.
Thanks for taking the time to reply though.
P.S. What kind of discount?

The discount would depend on the model you've got your eye on. Feel free to give our sales team a call at the number above and we can let you know what's available and what the Canon Upgrade Program discount would be.
We look forward to your call!
