Try shutting down, unplug power, press power button and then let it sit over night.
I don't know if this will fix it, but it should totally remove all stored power from the printer and wipe out any stored instructions.

Solved.
I had the same problem. Turned it on and off. Unplugged it. No dice.
Looked at data cable and noticed it went to wireless modem (one unit).
We recently had a lot of trouble on Black Friday day after Thanksgiving with our
network at home. So I just unplugged the modem and restarted it and the
stuck copy mode disappeared and the MX700 returned to its normal state.
Give it a try!
