Hello Gals and Guys -
I have Canon MF731 Printer/Scanner. I don't use the scanner much, but today when I tried, the software stated it could not communicate with the scanner. So far I've unplugged the cable and turn it off/on, but neither of those fixed the issue. The printer works normally, so is there something I can try to fix the scanner? Thanks for any help.

Greetings,
What OS and build are you running the printer with?
How is it connected and to what?
Is a specific error code displayed?
Did it ever work correctly (previously)?
"Unplugged the cable and turned it off", means? Power cord, ethernet, USB... ?

Thanks Rick. I appreciate the help. Whatever you did, it worked because I just tried and it scanned perfectly. I've had the thing for a while and it always worked, but I don't use it much. The error said it couldn't connect to the scanner or something akin to that, but as I said, the printer worked normally. Thanks again.
