Trouble connecting imageCLASS LBP6030w to new Windows 11 Laptop

First off , the "selection location" has no place for choosing "home/personal" printer so got as close as I could ,,, have a Canon Image Class LBP6030w  printer which works very well with my Toshiba laptop , but , the Toshiba will not upgrade to the windows 11 , so I purchased a new laptop which I have tried time and again , following instructions on the site , to connect the two to no avail ,,, my son , tried last night to get the two of them connected to no avail , even though he did the whole Data Base for one of the local school systems , he was as confused as I am saying that it should have been simple ,,, we , both , came to a conclusion that it appeared to be in the Driver , but couldn't locate one to do the job ,,, would really like to get the two of these connected , so , if anyone has a solution to this problem would greatly appreciate it , thanks ...

Greetings,

Please watch this video for steps to unpack, setup and connect your printer to your Wi-Fi network.

Here is a link to the printers support portal.  You can download the drivers for your OS here.  Visit the page, select Downloads > software and drivers, then your OS.  See visual help in the video.

Follow the steps for install.

Note: the printer requires a 2.4Ghz wireless broadcast that supports WPA2 encryption.  Please ensure your network mates these requirements.  The printer cannot connect to a 5Ghz broadcast or a network that uses WPA3 encryption.  Most duel and tri-band routers will allow you to configure individual settings for each broadcast, including giving each a unique name and changing the security used.  Most newer models include a security setting that allows WPA3/WPA2 which supports backwards compatibility.  if yours does.not, (unlikely if newer) just select WPA2 for the 2.4 GHz broadcast.

If you run into any snags just reply back and we'll be happy to assist further.
