imageCLASS MF445dw SSID error when connecting to wifi,

I keep getting this error " Could not connect. Make sure the security settings configured for the device and the access point are the same"  I imput my wifi code but the error is the same.  So my computer cannot find my printer. Can someone please help! Thanks.

Yes, thanks, Danny. The printer is an Image Class MF445dw.

 

Greetings,

The printer requires a 2.4 GHz wireless broadcast that uses WPA2 encryption..  it will not connect to a 5G 6G 7G broadcast or a network that uses WPA3 encryption.  Please ensure your network meets these requirements and that you have a dedicated 2.4 GHz broadcast that is using the proper encryption type.

On the router: It is sometimes helpful to give each broadcast a unique name, or temporarily disable the other broadcasts while making a connection then re-enable after a successful connection is made.  

Optional but recommended, since you're going to be logged into your router it might be a good time to reserve or assign a static IP address to the printer.  This provides consistent and reliable connectivity for persistent network devices (like a printer).
