Lots of unknowns here. Windows, MAC?
There may be more than one way to solve. The drivers and options might vary depending on the OS and/or application and version you are printing from.
Possible solutions:
Select back to front (driver option)
Specify page rage or numbers in reverse order (check or accounting application)
Maybe buying new checks is the easiest way to solve?

The MF743Cdw supports automatic two-sided (duplex) printing based on paper size. Check the list HERE to ensure the paper size you're using matches what's supported. Beyond ensuring the output falls within those sizes, any other configurations or limitations will be through the software or print settings on the computer from which you're printing.
