Is it possible to print on 5x7 photo papers?  When printing, there is no paper size of 5x7 or 4x6.  Is there a way to define a custom sizes for them?

1 ACCEPTED SOLUTION

I just tried again, the driver now allows me to set custom size to 5x7.

Hi mtkliu.

the MF644Cdw is able to print on paper as small as 3" x 5", so 5" x 7" and 4" x 6" are within it's viable paper size range.  Please be careful, as most 5" x 7" and 4" x 6" photo papers are designed for use in Inkjet printers, and the coating may melt off the paper and cause damage inside of laser printers.  Print photos in the MF644Cdw using only photo/color printing paper clearly-labeled for laser printers.

Information on setting paper sizes may be found HERE in the online manual.

Do you have any answers to the topic below?

I cannot print photos from my PC either

Thanks.  I figured out how to set the paper size for 5x7 and 4x6 on the printer.  Hence I can print them with a USB memory stick.  But, when I tried to print from the computer.  The driver does not let me to specify custom size.

No one provided an answer on setting the paper size to 5x7 or 4x6 on a PC.

I love this printer but you need to be an IT specialist to even set up scan to email. A basic function like printing a4x6 might have new retuning this thing. I'm not using a thumb drive for photos. And still can't figure out how to configure most of the apps. They all have errors when I try to use them

I don't have any other problems with the printer.  You might not have set it up properly, and may want to remove it and re-set it up to get rid of the errors.

Hi mtkliu and ramareld.

Paper size and type may be set in the driver. For custom sizes, it's easier to pull that information from the printer than to set it up each time.  Refer to the following section of the MF Driver Online Manual:

This does not help.

This is a pretty simple ask for a Canon... a photo company printer.

We would like to put a 4x6 . laser photo paper size print into the multipurpose paper feed.... or even the drawer. And print photos from a photo an a PC , phone or device.

This is currently impossible.

From the advisory below, there is no way to do this. the section refered to , does not allow this.

I've already set up the custom size. in the online printer set up.

The 4x6 option still does not show up as an option when you print from the PC.

how do we do this.

Thank you

-Bob
