Our iPF8400 is putting down black lines

Suddenly our iPF8400 is creating short horizontal lines one on top of the other for about 3". Could it be related to a low ink supply?

Normally this issue indicates an issue with the print head.  Please perform the Head Posi. Adj. by following the instructions at the link below:
