My MF 8180C Image Class All In One Color Laser will not let me print.
The message in the window says "Insert K Cartridge"
I have tried removing the k cartridge and reinstalling without success.
I have turned off and unplugged the machine and turned bback on and plugged back in with no success
Any suggestions

I know this issue is frustrating and I will be glad to assist you.
Please verify that the protective cover and tape have been removed from the cartridge.
If the cover and tape have been removed, I recommend removing all of the toner cartridges. Setting the cartridges aside, please unplug the machine from the wall for one minute, and then plug it back in. Reseat the toner cartridges, one by one, as the machine asks for them.
If the error persists, after performing the steps above, please contact us at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666).

I did everything you suggested and unfortunately nothing worked.
I got rid of the machine and bought a new multi-function color laser printer
