Hi,
My printer is not working, I've been reviewing for possible causes but I'm not exactly sure of what it can be. So I'm going to list the stuff that I consider critical that could be avoiding the proper functioning of the printer.
1) Drivers for printers and Fax are working, as stated here on this snapshot of the devices available for printing inside Microsoft Word:
Yet, when I send for printing, nothing comes out of it.
2) Printer screen is not working properly. It stays "lit", but it doesn't show anything. I'm not sure if this is entirely necessary for operating just the printer functionality of the device. Perhaps it is but I'm not sure (sorry, I'm super sure this is a dumb question).
3) Could it be an issue of Toner? Or not properly putting the paper for printing? Does the printer sends any "Alarm" or message to the user, in any form, that could help us know what this is?
Any help is appreciated! Best regards,
Aquiles

Hi ajpaezm.
If the MF4770n is set up through Windows, use the Printers list's Printer Properties to print a Windows Test Page. Does the printer respond to that?
From the screenshot you provided, Microsoft's OneNote cloud-based collaboration service is set as the default printer. Try setting the MF4700 Series UFRII LT entry as the default printer, or manually selecting it when printing.
If the printer's LCD screen does not show anything, try unplugging it, waiting ~ 30 seconds, then plugging it back in and powering it back on. If the LCD screen still does not show anything after that, the printer may need to be replaced or serviced.
Since the MF4770n is outside of service life in the U.S., we're unable to offer recommendations for printer repairs. If you're in the U.S., you may contact us using the numbers and information at http://Canon.us/ContactLI for our available replacement options.

Hi there,
I have issue with my Canon imageCLASS MF4770n. When i tried to print, it says "Out Of Paper".
I recently changed the new hard drive with Win10 fresh install; however, it worked in prvious Win7 upgrade to Win10. I don't want to switch back the old hard drive.
What is the problem? I don't think my printer need to be replaced and serviced.
Thanks.

Hi user21net.
When printing from a computer, any conflict between the settings on the computer and the settings on the printer itself, including paper size and source settings, will default to what is set on the computer, right or wrong. Make sure the paper size and source set on the computer match what's loaded in the MF4770n.
If you have switched to a fresh install, then you will need to reinstall the printer. If you have not yet done so, reinstall it using the drivers found on the MF4770n Drivers & Downloads page.

Hi Darius,
I did install the printer on it. Also tried to uninstall and re-intalled driver few times, setting paper size but still "out of paper".
Anyhow, I tried with another laptop Win10 and it worked.
Thanks for your support.
