After two years of use, I printed my first picture. The glossy paper was in cassette #1.After printing the photo was completed, I registered plain paper back to cassette #1. (Plain paper is in both cassettes.)
Now, when I print something and let it auto-select, it uses cassette #2. If I want to use the paper in cassette #1, I have to enter "Preferences" and manually select cassette #1.
I have registered both cassettes to plain paper repeatedly, all to to avail.
Any suggestions? Thank you!

I figured it out!
1. In Windows 10, open the Control Panel and Select "Devices and Printers."
2. Right-click on the Canon MB5300 Series printer and select "Printing Prefences"
3. Under "Paper Source," select "Cassette 1."
My problem was solved. Now it always automatically takes paper from cassette 1 like it always has. Of course, I can still select cassette 2 when necessary.

I guess I should mention that it always used to auto-select cassette #1.
How can I get it to auto-select cassette #1 again?
Thank you.
