MF751Cdw Yellow Cartridge nightmare

I purchased my printer in mid 2024, had some issues with printing but was able to get that resolved. After the initial cartridges were finished, I purchased Cannon (Genuine) 069H cartridges. Printing has been smooth sailing.  I don't print a high volume on a regular basis (average 10 sheets a month,) but usually twice or three times a year, I need to print in bulk (about 4,000 pages in color) for a campaign.

Over the weekend, my printer made something like a deep grunting noise, and the yellow ink (I printing a document with yellow sunflowers) was smeared all over the pages, both front and back. I took out the cartridge and wiped it clean with a paper towel and with cloth but each time the roller spun, more ink was deposited on the roller. I cleaned it as best as I could and put it back in the printer, and tried printing again. It wasn't as bad as before, but I still can't use the documents I printed. Seems like the cartridge kind of "blew up" (I guess). The cartridge ink level is at 80%, so it's not like it is almost empty. Do I need to buy another cartridge? Spending another $200 on a cartridge is not what I want to do. The reason I got rid of my previous printer was because ink was too expensive...

Thank you! Yes, I only purchase genuine Canon toner; I won't take the chance and put aftermarket toner in this printer--it costs too much. 🙂 I will call tomorrow.

Holey Moley!

Does the chat feature work (it says "Chat Unavailalbe")? Or can you email someone and ask that they call you back? So far, I've been on hold for 30 mins. This hold music is causing my anxiety to spike!

Is there a better time to call back when it is less busy? I thought calling around 2:45pm EST, would be a good time, but it doesn't seem like it.
