MF743Cdw: scan to encrypted PDF

Hi,

I 'm trying to scan to an encrypted PDF on a USB stick by following the instructions here:

According the the bottom of this page, these instructions are applicable to the MF743Cdw.

However when I get to step 6, I don't have an "Encryption" option. The only option I have in this menu is "Divide into Pages".

The MF743Cdw is on the latest firmware. Is there anything that needs to be done to enable this option?

Are you running Acrobat Pro DC or the free reader?

Hi Rick,

I'm using the free reader. That's why I'm trying to get the printer/scanner to do the encryption. According to the manual page I linked above, the MF743Cdw is supposed to support this feature.
