MF269dw II stuck in Download Mode, Canon support has so far proven useless. Please help.

This stupid printer has been stuck in Download Mode and nothing has been able to get it back and running. I have a Mac on Sonoma 14.6.1, but my mom bought this and she only has an iPad. I have it plugged in using a USB. I've tried unplugging it, pressing the STOP button while plugging it back in. I've downloaded drivers to my computer but can't connect to the stupid printer. I've trie holding the STOP button. I've tried holding the Power button. I've tried cursing at it. From the Canon website, I tried downloading the firmware but it asks for a serial number and when I type in the number that is on the back label I just get an error msg telling me it's the wrong number. It's 2026, why is this so hard? I want to go full Office Space on this thing so badly. I just want to help my mom be able to print from her iPad but I can't even get out of this Download mode.

According to the article at https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/s/article/FAQ100523 your serial # is 4LH0XXXX (if I'm seeing them correctly) <serial number partially hidden for privacy per forum guidelines>

This is what I get when I try to download the firmware and I enter in that number.

Did you try both the number zero and the capital letter "o" in the fourth place?

Greetings,

I think it's time for you to contact Canon support.

Start by trying to register your product and your MyCanon account.

MyCanon

https://myprofile.americas.canon.com/us/signin

The telephone number for support is

1-800-652-2666

My suggestion is to try registering the product first before calling.  Let support help you.  They should be able to help with serial number identification, etc.

Please look at the FRONT of the unit with the paper tray CLOSED.

I believe you'll find the printer is the imageCLASS MF262dw II, rather than the MF269dw II.

Tap HERE to get the scanner software and HERE to get the printer software.

Be sure to register it as a MF262dw II at https://canon.us/account

I'm an idiot. The manual has all of those other model numbers listed and in the numerous google searches for answers I kept seeing that one pop up and it stuck in my head.
