MF264DwII printer will not connect to my computer (or vice versa)

Just bought a Canon  MF264DwII (my fifth Canon network printer). Installation seemed easy, and it connected to the network easily.  I can also connect to the printer via the browser/UI/IP address.

But the Canon MF device driver utility doesn't see the printer. I try searching the network (both on same network) and I search by the IP address (same one I use to access via the remote UI), and it won't find the printer.

HELP!

So that the Community can help you better, we will need to know which operating system is running on your computer (i.e. Windows or macOS and which version). How are you connecting and what error message? Any
