MF toolbox crash (Kernelbase.dll error)

MF Toolbox (ver. 4.9) keeps crashing after scanning a few pages in the auto-feeder.

 

I get this error:

So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which Canon printer model you're using and which version of Windows is on your computer. That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!

My printer: Canon i-SENSYS MF229dw

System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 17134)

 

The crash occurs after attemps to scan over 6-9 pages. MF toolbox crashes from the computer. The printer shows "an error has occured" and quits scanning. That's pretty much it.

Firstly you need to download the latest Canon MF Toolbox from the Canon website. .

Once downloaded, install the application.

Once installed, right click on the application icon and select

Move to the compatibility tab and select the checkbox behind “Run this program in compatibility mode for”

From the drop-down list, select “Windows 7”

Firstly you need to download the latest Canon MF Toolbox from the Canon website. Go to this link to enter your scanner’s model and follow the on-screen instructions to download the utility.

Once downloaded, install the application.

Once installed, right click on the application icon and select
