I am able to use the Canon MF Scan Utility from a Windows 10 computer to scan documents to a local network attached Canon without problem, but only when connected to our corporate VPN.
When disconnected from the VPN, using the MF Scan Utility when I click to do a scan nothing happens, or perhaps the first time an app window briefly appears on the tasktray.
I would guess that when connected to the VPN, the Firewall profile is Domain and theres a firewall rule enabled that allows scanning. When disconnected, the profile would be Private.
What Firewall rule needs to be changed and enabled for both Domain and Private profiles?
Cheers
SC
