Unable to print, copy, etc. Printer displays error code B504 and the message:
Printer error has occurred
Follow the steps below.
1. Cancel printing, then turn the device off
2. Turn the device on again
If problem persists, see the manual and contact the service
I've power-cycled more than once; clearly this is a real service problem. I'm in the Seattle area; is there some place I can take it?

Thanks for joining the conversation, falk!
So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which Canon printer model you're using within in the MAXIFY MB5100 series. The model number should appear on the front of the printer at the upper right corner. That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!
If this is a time-sensitive matter, click HERE search our knowledge base or find additional support options HERE.
Thanks and have a great day!

Adding on: the power light and the ⚠ light alternate blinking 8 times. Dunno if that's significant, but Canon's AI "assistant" asked me about that.
