Hello; I need help understanding what is happening with my printer. It is a model MB2720. I had just installed 2 new printer cartridges. Then we tried to print a document from one of our cell phones. We received an error code 5205. We did as the code directs us to do; cancelled the print job and turned the device off. Still the same code. Tried turning it off, unplugging the device for a few minutes, turning everything back on, but no go. Apparently the support link does not recognize what their code 5205 means, because it suggested I turn to you, the community forum. Any ideas? Thank you so much! (We are a very low-tech older couple so I ask if you can dumb it down for me, ha ha.)

To fix this, start by turning off the printer and unplugging it. Next, remove any jammed paper or blockages, inspect the ink cartridges, if new make sure any shipping tape is removed from the contacts and the cartridges are seated properly, and make sure the carriage can move without obstruction. Inform us once you have completed these steps.
