MAXIFY GX7000 series printer: Scan-to-email fail, Error code 3416

Hey Community,

Our office recently bought a couple of GX7000 series printers.  They are working well with printing.  We are trying to set them up to scan to email.  The Test settings are successful, but when we try to email, it fails with error code 3416.  We have a Lexmark printer connected to the network, and it can scan documents to email using the same account and settings.

Do you have any thoughts on why the Lexmark will work and the Canon will not?

Thanks

Don

Thanks for joining the conversation, Don!

So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which Canon printer model you're using within the MAXIFY GX7000 series.  The model number should appear on the front of the unit at the lower right, just under the "MAXIFY" logo. That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!

If this is a time-sensitive matter, click HERE search our knowledge base or find additional support options HERE.

Thanks and have a great day!
