Bought to replace my older Canon printer MF3240, which was connected via USB and never had any issues.
Since the USB cord is already routed, I set it up to use direct USB connection to my office laptop. It prints fine until I unplug it to take the laptop home, and then when I reconnect the next morning, it refuses to recognize the printer and will not print. Restarting the computer works sometimes, but not always and re-installing everything using the master setup software is the same, works sometimes and sometimes not. Laptop is running Windows 10 due to older software that won't run under 11.
I have since tried both Wired and Wireless LAN, and neither finds the printer in master setup. I configured both on the printer itself (wired first, then wireless), and neither will detect the printer. My iPhone detects the printer just fine and will print without issue every time. Display on the printer shows connection to the router via WiFi.
I'm at a loss and would return it at this point if I could, but I've had it about 60 days.
Thanks for any help.
