Will not print from Mac OS “Big Sur”
Is there a driver for Big Sur to operate the printer?
All info so far suggests I’ll need a new printer.🥲

Greetings,

At the moment Big Sur can mean 11.0, 11.01 or 11.1

The current driver is certified for 11.0 and 11.01...  but  it might work with 11.1 as well.

We don't know if you were running an earlier OS and upgraded, or if you are running a newer MacBook that came with Big Sur?

I'll wager you upgraded from an earlier OS.  And if thats the case...  Canon has included the following in that drivers release notes.

Environment
Supported OS
macOS 10.13.6 - 11.0.1

Caution
If you add a printer connected via TCP/IP after updating Mac OS, [Internet Printing Protocol - IPP] may be selected for [Protocol]. If this happens, select [Line Printer Daemon - LPD] and add the printer.

My Mac was using “Catalina” until the Big Sur (11.0.1) upgrade installed on 12/29/20.
From your reply, I gather that my old reliable Canon printer has a driver available for Big Sur.
Obviously I don’t have tech skills. Thanks

Very sorry.  I ment to include the link for downloads:
