Ipf605 printer gives error e161-4050 during set up, how do I get past this error

The error is during initial setup and is shown on the screen of the printer . I have not gotten to the step where the printer is hooked up to the computer. I am using windows xp

I think its a very bad question from Canon. The  error E161-4050 is not related to any OS from the computer. Its a printer error. It blocks the printer to go further and Canon should know that.
