I have a Canon Maxify MB 2720. It is set up at a property that is different from my residence. We come out here every six weeks to two months. Every time I leave I turn off the printer and wait for the heads to park and turn itself off. But the next time I come back and turn the printer on, the heads have apparently dried out and printing is terrible. I usually have to go through 3 or 4 deep cleanings to get the printing back. This last time, it still did not come back 100%. I'm hoping with a little use, it will get better.
What can I do - if anything to prevent this? It is a huge hassle every time this happens, not to mention the waste of ink.
Thank you to anyone that can help with this.
Best regards,
Chester

Hello,
If the printer sits for an extended period of time without being used, ink can dry on the surface of the print head and can clog nozzles. If the cleaning and deep cleanings did not clear the nozzles the printer might need service. In this situation, I suggest contacting support over the phone or logging into your MyCanon account to check your service options. To see if there are any suggestions to resolve the issue, you can post an image of the nozzle check.

Six weeks to two months between uses is not a good way to use an inkjet printer for just this reason. You'd be better off with a laser printer. Not as nice for photo printing maybe, but it will hold up better.
