ImageCLASS MF644Cdw Duplex Printing?

Does the Canon Color Imageclass MF644Cdw support duplex printing?  There are certain menus that allow me to enable it but I receive and errer message.  Other menus are just grayed out.  Have not been able to do it unless I do it manually and I would prefer it to be automatic.

Greetings ,

I own this device. The ADF supports single pass duplex scanning.  The printer also supports duplex printing.

What operating system are you using the printer with?

What drivers have you installed?

Hi Rick,

I have WIndows 11.  I just updated the firmware on the printer.  The driver on my laptop is

Greetings,

For Windows 11 you need to install two driver packages.  If you did not install the Canon drivers and allowed Windows to install it's own drivers, I would remove them and restart the system before running the other packages.

Support portal for the device is here:

https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/color-imageclass-mf644cdw

Select downloads, then software and drivers.  Select Windows, then Windows 11 for the OS.

First package is:

[Windows 64bit] MF644Cdw/MF642Cdw MFDrivers (Generic Plus UFR II / Generic FAX / ScanGear)

Second package is:

[Windows 32bit & 64bit] MF Scan Utility Ver.1.21.0.2

When you run the first installer, it prompts you to allow it to make changes to the Windows firewall. You must allow this.

The second package 1.21.0.2 is the scanner driver.  It must be installed to use the scanner.

Thanks Rick.  I will work on this and let you know how it goes.
