Image Class D480 application does not recognize the ADF

My image class d480 recently stop recognizing the ADF and the scangear does not provide option other the platten. The scangear tools does recopgnize the ADF. The problem is when I run an application to scan. I tried with different applications and the problem is the same. I downloaded all new drivers and installed them. How can I solve this?

Windows 7. I tried 3 other applications and didn't work. I still tried a last one: Paper Scan 2 and it worked. Would it be the application? But I have been using the original application for more than 2 years without any problem: when it opens the scangear screen it comes flatten and don't accept changes.
