I just installed a NEW Canon cartridge since the unit was out of toner. I was printing and scanning before installing the new cartridge.
Now, I can no longer scan or print.
I have even removed and re-installed the needed downloads. I am using Windows 10.
Help me get this fixed as I have important papers I need to scan.

Hi WAFam20.
If the D420 is not printing after installing a fresh replacement Canon toner cartridge, try cleaning the Fixing assembly:
[Menu] >> <ADJUST./CLEANING> >> (Load a sheet of paper in the Multipurpose tray) >> <FIX. UNIT CLEANING> >> [OK]
Since the toner was recently replaced, I also advise pulling the toner cartridge out, and making sure that the protective plastic strip has been removed properly. There will be a tab or ring on the side of the toner cartridge you will need to pull to remove the plastic that blocks toner flow.
