If it was purchased elsewhere, you'll need to contact the reseller where it was purchased to go over your options.
If you feel like your unit might be malfunctioning, or misreading the toner, contact support. They're at 1-800-OK-CANON (800-652-2666), Monday through Friday from 8am to 8pm (ET).
