How do I handle MF269dw printer "dropouts"?

I am using an MF269dw and every time I print there are tiny "dropouts" where the printer doesn't print correctly.  I've changed the cartridge to a new one (an authorized Canon cartridge).  I tried the maintenance feature.  None of these actions handle it.  I've attached an example of the problem and circled the white "dropout" spots.  Advice on how to remedy this is most appreciated.

This problem was entirely handled by replacing the drum cartridge.
